Goddess Out There in the Barn
Mama goat loves her babies
Is fierce about sharing her milk.
Kicking, bucking
I cried a little
Talked and sang to her
So peaceful in the barn,
in the night
baby goats bed down,
sleep sweetly in the corner of the stall
I wonder if I am doing it right
I listen into the middle world
I have discovered the Goddess out there in the barn.
In the quiet, in the night, in the eyes of fierce Mama goat.
May it be in Beauty.
